Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that the TDP-led NDA government will launch its free power scheme for handloom and powerloom weavers on August 7, offering 200 units to handloom weavers and 500 units to powerloom operators, benefiting over 61,500 families at an annual cost of ₹125 crore. Addressing a pension disbursement event in Kadapa, he detailed the ₹33,000 crore NTR Bharosa scheme, new spouse and widow pensions, and reaffirmed monthly pension delivery. Naidu also announced development initiatives, including Kadapa Steel Plant with ₹16,350 crore investment targeting 2029 production, ₹80 crore tourism boost for Gandikota, and irrigation projects under Handri-Neeva to benefit 6 lakh acres and 33 lakh people. He launched the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme providing ₹20,000 annual aid per farmer, restored drip irrigation subsidies, sanctioned ₹30 crore for local lift irrigation, and pledged to make Rayalaseema a horticulture hub while criticising YSRCP and its leader for misgovernance and debt accumulation.
